Jackson has been asking to go camping again every since we went up to Currant Creek at the end of August. We looked at the calendar and set a date. When the date got closer the weather wasn't looking good. We knew if we canceled Jackson would be so disappointed so we decided to go anyways. We got up there to find dinner waiting for us! Gary's parents had made a yummy dutch oven chicken dinner with rolls and then some peach cobbler for dessert. We were able to sit down and eat for a few minutes, but then it started to rain... Hard... We took all of the food into the trailer and ate there. We were stuck in the trailer for the next couple hours because of the rain. It finally stopped raining so Gary and I set up our trailer and unpacked a little. As soon as we were all set up it started raining again. The kids kept wanting to go out into the rain so they got so wet. Eventually they came into the trailer for good and we put our PJs on. We went to be early and it was so nice. At about 5:00ish it really started to rain again. All the kids woke up and Jackson never went back to sleep. He kept saying he wanted to go out in the rain. Some of us fell back to sleep and eventually we all got up about 7:30. We decided to pack up while the skies were clear and head home. Gary's parents followed us home and we made breakfast at our house. Kind of a crazy camp out, but we made good memories!

I saw you guys with both trailers at your house and wondered if you had braved the rain for a campout? Sounds like it was pretty wet, but it didn't dampen anyone's spirits. How fun!
What a great time, even with the rain. I love the picture of all of you at the table outside. It looks like Abi's even in on the fun!
